Chevrolet is planning to start selling an engine that uses a cylinder of metal instead of metal parts in the future.
The company has started talking about the idea, and it’s looking to get as much as 1,000 engines on the market by 2021, said Bob Mays, the company’s president and chief executive officer.
A crate engine is a cylinder that sits in the engine bay of a truck and runs on compressed air.
It’s usually built by the same supplier that makes the engine that goes into a truck, so the cost of the engine is the same.
Mays said there’s a growing demand for crate engines, especially in cars.
They’re easier to work with, Mays told reporters at the New York Auto Show on Tuesday.
“It’s not a high-volume, high-cost item.”
Mays’ company is trying to develop a crate engine in a big way, and he’s not saying how much.
He said he thinks it’ll be at least 100 engines, and the company won’t know until it starts selling them.
The new crate engine, which could be built with aluminum, steel or titanium, could have enough power to be able to get from a city to a job site in a matter of minutes.
The biggest challenge is getting it into a small number of vehicles, Mains said.
He also said it will take time for the company to understand the demand for its engine.
But he said it’s the right time to start testing and testing, so that’s the most important part.
“You can’t get it out of the lab and test it for 10 years, so you need to get it right now,” he said.
“This is a real time of opportunity.

The company won a $5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to begin developing its crate engine technology.
Mains also said he expects to have the crate engine commercially available by 2021.
But the crate engines that Mains is talking about don’t use conventional crankshafts, and they use more complicated parts.
Mears said the company will focus on a crate-like design that can be used in trucks, buses, buses with a rear axle and so on.
The goal is to make a crate that’s as small as possible and that can get from point A to point B in less than 10 minutes.
Mires said the engine will have the same torque as the current diesel-electric hybrid engine, but it will be a bit less efficient, making it better for some of the tasks people will need to do, like driving the truck around a city.
The engine could be a significant step forward for the industry.
The Cummins engine is widely used in the automotive industry and it was among the most powerful diesel-powered engines ever made.
It can produce up to 2,200 horsepower.
But a few years ago, the Cummins engines were the engines that were used in electric buses and trucks.
That made it hard for Cummins to get the engine out to the mass market because of the high price tag.
It also made it difficult to get more Cummins-based engines into the market because it took so long for the Cummintowns and Fords to realize they could produce better engines, Mears told reporters.
The next big challenge for the crate-engine is finding a way to get a vehicle to run it safely, Mires added.
The problem with a lot of people’s truck is that it has a really big engine.
If you have a big engine, that’s not going to be safe.
Mersons said the biggest problem for the truck will be getting the truck off the road in a safe way.
It could take years for the engine to be ready for commercial use.
The key to making a safe crate engine will be making sure the crate itself is safe, Merssons said.
It would take about 10 to 15 years to build the engine, Moes said.
Mims said the next big question is, will the new crate engines be safe?
“The big thing is, do you want a safe truck, or a safe engine?”
“The safety of our product is the big thing.”
The next major challenge for a crate motor will be testing it on real roads.
“We want to make sure the engine works,” Mays added.
“How can we get it into the truck as soon as possible?
That will be the big challenge.”
Mains told reporters that he thinks the company is on track to get its first crate engine into production this year.
Matsushita will build a batch of about 100 vehicles.
Mitsubishi will make about 80 of the engines.
The rest will be built by Toyota, Honda, and Toyota’s partner Nissan.
The current crate engine was developed by Cummins in conjunction with the company Mitsubishi Motors.
